Noisy Bottle Collections

trying to get bottle collections from pubs and restaurants at appropriate
times. the one picking up bottles for the Portcullis regularly wakes me up
at 5:30am - complaints have been made but nothing happens

Heavy Lorries

lots of people complain about heavy lorries breaking up our pavements and
shaking our buildings- but I was not allowed to put it in the conservation
appraisal document. Somerfield use huge totally inappropriate lorries down
princess victoria street, Nicolette has complained about pennant paving
being broken by lorries in berkeley square (outside haha)

A boards, Tables & Chairs

we should talk about tables and chairs now that there is a plan to license
them from July. PACT were not able to be interested in A boards as the pavement man is too
busy. Maybe NP is the appropriate place and we should try to get them
licensed just like tables and chairs. We have raised it several times at
PACT.

Bins out all week

Several people along "The Terrace" ( nos 2 to 12 CPR) are always
very tardy at putting their bins back and/or putting them out on the wrong
day or on a week when they will not be emptied. The worst offender is no
12, where the bins can be out for weeks, not days, unless someone like me
just "chucks" them back in through the doorway!! What action can be
taken?

Satellite Dishes

The next satellite dish to appear in our Chis area, beside
the right hand second floor flat in Percival House in Percival Rd,
glowering at you as you walk down Clifton Park Road. What can be done to
get it moved to a hidden site on their roof ??
I was able to get the satellite dishes off grade II listed buildings eg
boyces avenue, but could not get them off queens court.
The enforcement team promised to advertise the policy in their magazine in
time for analogue switch off but this never happened.
There is another massive one at the top of st michaels hill by the taxiplace

Hideous Street Lights

Our hideous modern street light, just by our pillar box
halfway down Clifton Park Road, which after two years or more, still has
not been replaced with what we paid for originally.
I have been battling with oncongruous street lights for years- this
particular one is in a quiet residential street with 10 cast iron posts and
not even on a street corner. The lighting department are notoriously shy at
responding or tell me they agree to disagree that they are following their
own policy.

Setting the agenda for next NP (Tue 13 July)

Dear all,

Hope everyone enjoyed a good Easter break!
Better late than never (my apologies) but thought I'd summarise the main points following last month's informal meeting
- Cllr Trevor Blythe (NP Chair) wants us to be involved in the preparations & agenda setting for the next formal NP meeting (Tues 13 July) - very good news indeed!
- Shortly, Trevor will let us know a date (probably mid-late May) for a pre-meeting where we can discuss our suggestions for the agenda. I spoke to him today and he is 'on the case'.
- It was widely agreed that trying to get the open 'blog' going for communications was a good idea in principle, but this hasn't worked in practice so far. I'm sending this on email to make sure everyone receives it. I think we need an expert (Malcolm?) to take the lead on how to make 'blogging' work for us! He offered assistance to anyone needing help getting set up on the blog (email him on -------) but I think using it effectively after registering may be a bigger challenge!
We also started to build the visual map of where the representatives come from and we also have an appreciation of the expertise & areas of interest of all those who came along – very impressive! Ariaf has some flipchart notes about this and I have the maps. Prior to the next NP, we will find a way of presenting and sharing this information.
Best wishes to everyone,

Rachel
