A boards, Tables & Chairs

we should talk about tables and chairs now that there is a plan to license
them from July. PACT were not able to be interested in A boards as the pavement man is too
busy. Maybe NP is the appropriate place and we should try to get them
licensed just like tables and chairs. We have raised it several times at
PACT.

  1. I agree with Maggie, especially on "A" boards which are totally unnecessary and impede all pedestrians the should be strictly controlled by LICENSE: many already contravene the Department for Transport regulations regarding the need for a minimum 1.2 Metre clearance for Wheelchairs and thereby come under the Highways regulations, which includes responsibility for pavements, so the BCC Highways Department must deal with them.

Tables and chairs where ALCOHOL is consumed on the public pavement surely MUST contravene Licensing laws?
